To mark the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, dreamlaser has created an interactive installation that will be on display near the Eternal Flame at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
The installation, titled “Memory Through Time”, is a rectangular structure made of LED screens equipped with motion sensors that respond to the movement of visitors. As a person approaches, the smoke displayed on the screen dissipates, revealing footage from wartime chronicles: the defense of the Brest Fortress, Operation “Ring”, the liberation of Leningrad, and other significant historical milestones that step by step led to the heroic Victory. The installation is divided into five segments — each one dedicated to a specific year of the war.
Visitors will experience an immersive journey that draws them into the context of the events, making them feel like participants in key historical moments. The project is designed to offer a personal and emotional connection to the memory of the Great Victory.
The installation will be open from May 8 to May 11, daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free.
Organized by dreamlaser, the installation was created with grant support from the “Creative Practices Team” project by the Center 800.
